Saint Vincent Chancellor Gives Opening Prayer in State Legislature

Saint Vincent Archabbot Douglas R. Nowicki, O.S.B., chancellor of Saint Vincent College, gave the opening prayer for the day’s legislative session for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives on June 21 at the invitation of Representative Rick Saccone of the 39th Legislative District who is also a lecturer in politics at Saint Vincent. Present on the occasion were, from left, Rep. Saccone; Speaker of the House Sam Smith of the 66th Legislative District; Archabbot Douglas; Representative Mike Reese of the 59th Legislative District; Rev. Paul R. Taylor, O.S.B., executive director of Saint Vincent Archabbey Educational Apostolates and Endowments; Lawrence Nowicki, SVC’75, of Harrisburg; and Dan Soltesz, SVC’07, chief of staff to Rep. Saccone.
