SVC Music Professor Gives Concert at Saint Andrew's

Thomas Octave, assistant professor of fine arts and chair of the music division of the department of fine arts in the Saint Vincent College School of Humanities and Fine Arts, gave an Evensong Recital to the St. Andrew’s Music Guild on October 5 at the Saint Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Highland Park.

This recital was the inaugural recital for the Saint Andrew Music Guild Recital Series. Mr. Octave performed sacred music that ranged from Handel, to “Sing God A Simple Song” from Leonard Bernstein’s Mass to movements from a Bach solo cantata. He was accompanied by Josie Merlino. The recital concluded with a standing ovation, encore and a meet the artist reception.
