SGA Executive Board Attends Conference in Boston

Three Saint Vincent College student government officers attended the American Student Government Association Training Conference in Boston August 5 to 7 hosted by Wheelock College.

Representing Saint Vincent College SGA were Renold Sossong, executive board president; Taylor Guido, executive board vice president; and Bridget Fitzpatrick, executive board secretary. They were accompanied by Jason Winters, director of campus life and Student Government Association advisor.

The group attended seminars on communication methods, creativity and the subconscious mind, meeting management and organization leadership. They also attended one round table session with other college student representatives to brainstorm resolving issues and developing new ideas.

In addition to attending the conference, the group had an opportunity to tour historic Boston including Quincy Market, Cheers restaurant, Boston Common, Massachusetts State House, Park Street Church, Old Granary Burial Ground, Saint Cecilia Parish, Boston’s Little Italy and the campus of Harvard University.
