SVC Homecoming, Fall Family Weekend Oct. 5-9

Saint Vincent College Offices of Alumni Relations and Campus Life will welcome alumni, students and their families to campus for homecoming and fall family weekend Wednesday through Sunday, Oct. 5-9.
The five-day series of events will open on Wednesday, Oct. 5 and Thursday, Oct. 6 with the 27th annual Bearcat Open Golf Tournament at Laurel Valley Golf Club, Ligonier, sponsored by Private Wealth Advisors, Inc. Eight graduates will be honored as alumni of distinction in recognition of their lifetime achievement and service to Saint Vincent at a reception and dinner at the Fred M. Rogers Center at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7. The honorees include Hon. William H. Baughman, Jr., Fred F. Ciarochi, M.D., Ramon F. Martin, M.D., George J. Nemo, Ph.D., Rhonda L. Randall, D.O., Robert J. Rogalski, Esq., David K. Roger, and Stephen P. Yanek. Christina L. Scagline Cristaldi, D.O., will also be honored as the Recent Alumna of Distinction.
Saturday’s activities include an alumni anniversary breakfast, “Nature in Your Backyard” at the Winnie Palmer Nature Reserve, Lady Bearcat tennis vs. Thomas More College, a parade, community picnic, open swim, equestrian team demonstration, Bearcat football vs. Washington & Jefferson College, halftime crowning of homecoming court, Lady Bearcats tennis vs. University of Pittsburgh-Greensburg, an alumni social, planetarium shows in the Angelo J. Taiani Planetarium, marching band performance, alumni memorial Mass, flag football exhibition, performance by the Saint Vincent Choir, a pick-up Frisbee game and a performance by Craig Karges, mentalist and illusionist. The Fall Fest Carnival will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on the softball field. Each of the four schools will have receptions in the afternoon. A shuttle bus will be running all day with admission ambassadors giving tours of campus.
Sunday’s activities include Bearcat soccer and Lady Bearcat soccer vs. Washington & Jefferson College.
