'Quickbooks Made Easy' Workshop Offered at SVC on Oct. 18

Saint Vincent College Small Business Development Center will be offering a workshop on the accounting software package, QuickBooks®.

QuickBooks® Made Easy seminar will be held on Tuesday, October 18.

This program is designed for individuals and businesses that have recently purchased the accounting system, QuickBooks®, or for those who currently use QuickBooks® but would like to become more efficient in processing their day-to-day work.

The seminar will also provide resource material and information that will broaden QuickBooks® skills and answer common questions. Topics include setting up a company file, defining and modifying the chart of accounts, setting up and editing new vendors and customers, processing accounts payable and accounts receivable, entering manual checks, applying cash receipts and deposits, and preparing bank reconciliations and financial reports. The presenter will also answer specific questions concerning a business or situation.

This workshop is presented by Dennis Piper and Associates, a firm that specializes in working closely with small to mid-size companies to develop, train and enhance accounting processes through this software.

The program will be held at Saint Vincent College from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m. The fee for each program is $40. There is a discounted fee of $35 per person when two or more people attend or if a person is registering for more than one program. Included with the registration fee is a one-year subscription (12 issues) to Inc. magazine, valued at $10.
