Dr. Robert Friedlander Gives Boyer Lecture

Dr. Robert M. Friedlander, M.D., (third from left), of the University of Pittsburgh Department of Neurological Surgery, was the featured speaker in the Saint Vincent College Boyer School Lecture Series on November 7 in the Dr. Frank J. Luparello Lecture Hall. Welcoming him to the Sis and Herman Dupré Science Pavilion were, from left, Andrew Egan, a junior biology major from North Huntingdon; Karalyn Hillebrecht, a junior biology major from Pittsburgh (15226), and Michael Bartkowski, a senior biology major from Natrona Heights. Dr. Friedlander is chair and professor of neurological surgery, UPMC endowed professor of neurosurgery and head of cerebrovascular neurosurgery at UPMC Presbyterian. His talk was entitled, “Role of Cell Death Pathways in Neurologic Diseases and a Career as a Physician Scientist.”
