Thomas Octave, assistant professor of music and chair of the music department at Saint Vincent College, directed more than 140 high school students in a day-long musical workshop and then a cumulative evening concert on Tuesday, November 22 sponsored by the Clarion County Music Educators Association.

Students from seven high schools participated in this music festival at Keystone High School hosted by Mr. Francis J. Nesta.

“The concert was held in tandem with the Junior High Clarion County Band concert as well, making for a very delightful musical showcase for the music directors, parents, and administrators in attendance,” Mr. Octave commented.

As chorus guest conductor for the event, Mr. Octave greatly enjoyed and appreciated the opportunity to collaborate with and demonstrate the musical instruction of Saint Vincent College to local high school directors and their talented students during this festival.
