STUDENTS FROM VALLEY SCHOOL OF LIGONIER DEMONSTRATE MARTIAL ARTS AT CHINESE NEW YEAR CELEBRATION

Students from the Valley School of Ligonier demonstrated martial arts at the Chinese New Year celebration hosted by Saint Vincent College’s Loe China Studies Center on January 26 in the student lounge of the Robert S. Carey Student Center. The celebration featured performances, cultural activities and foods. The event was coordinated by Dr. Tingting Guo, visiting professor and Chinese director of the Confucius Institute at the University of Pittsburgh, and Dr. Tina Phillips Johnson, assistant professor of history at Saint Vincent College who also coordinates the activities of the James and Margaret Tseng Loe China Studies Center at Saint Vincent in the School of Humanities and Fine Arts.
