Saint Vincent College held its 166th annual commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 12 in the Robert S. Carey Student Center Gymnasium on the campus of Saint Vincent College, Latrobe (Westmoreland County).
More than 350 graduates received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in a traditional public ceremony marking the completion of their studies at Saint Vincent College.
Fr. Rick Frechette, a priest, physician, author and missionary who has served thousands of impoverished children and orphans for more than three decades in Haiti, was recognized with an honorary doctor of humane letters degree and was the principal speaker. He has been referred to as “The Mother Teresa of Haiti.”
