Fourteen students attended Fuzzy-Feather Camp at the Winnie Palmer Nature Reserve July 9 to 13. Emily Peck, right, of the Wild World of Animals in Eighty-Four, introduces Quin Sumner, left, and Kylie Smith, both of Greensburg, to a giant frog at the Friday morning session where they also met monkeys, raccoons, porcupines and more. Campers enjoyed a week of nature adventure as they explored the world of mammals and birds and learned about song birds and birds of prey native to Pennsylvania. They also discovered mammals native to the region. Each day campers explored “feathered and furry friends” which occupy the Reserve. Each camper received a mini nature explorer kit to take home.
