The Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League – celebrating the 80th anniversary of their founding in 2012 – will return to Saint Vincent College for their 47th annual summer training camp on Wednesday, July 25, according to an announcement on the Steelers website, www.steelers.com
Afternoon practices will be open to the public at 2:55 p.m. on campus on 15 days including Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 27, 28 and 29, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, July 31, August 1 and 2, Saturday and Sunday, August 4 and 5, Tuesday, August 7, Saturday and Sunday, August 11 and 12, and Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, August 14, 15, 16 and 17. An evening practice is also scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, August 3 at Latrobe Memorial Stadium.
Practices are held on the grass playing fields at Saint Vincent. Visitors are welcome to bring chairs or blankets for viewing from any location outside the security fence. Seating is also available in Chuck Noll Field. Picnic baskets and coolers are welcome but barbeque grills, alcohol, video cameras, and dogs and other animals are not permitted on campus. The College will offer snacks, sandwiches and drinks at several locations around campus and the Bookstore will again offer a variety of Steelers logo merchandise.
There is no charge for parking or admission at Saint Vincent.
