'Changes in Tax Code' Topic of First Presentation in Personal Financial Planning Series March 14

“Changes in the Tax Code and the Impact on Your Financial Planning” will be the topic of Robert Grossman, CPA, in the first presentation in the fifth annual Personal Financial Planning Lecture Series presented by the Alex G. McKenna School of Business, Economics, and Government, at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 14 in the Fred M. Rogers Center on the campus of Saint Vincent College.

Moderator will be Mark Abramovic, instructor of finance and executive director of the Series.

Grossman is head of tax and business valuation groups at Grossman Yanak and Ford, LLP. He brings extensive experience in tax and valuation matters that affect businesses, both public and private, as well as the stakeholders and owners of those businesses.

The breadth of his involvement encompasses the development and implementation of innovative business and financial strategies designed to minimize taxation and maximize owner wealth. As his career has progressed, he has risen to a level of national prominence in the business valuation arena. His expertise in business valuation is well known and he is a frequent speaker regionally and nationally on tax and valuation matters.

After graduating from Saint Vincent College in 1979 with highest honors in accounting, Grossman earned a master of science degree in taxation with honors from Robert Morris University. He is a certified public accountant in Pennsylvania and Ohio and is accredited in business valuation by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He also carries the well-recognized credentials of Accredited Senior Appraiser, Certified Valuation Analyst and Certified Business Appraiser.

The series is a special public education series on current personal financial issues and concerns sponsored by the Saint Vincent College Alex G. McKenna School of Business, Economics and Government.

Members of the board of advisors for the series include Cathy Baumann of Dollar Bank, Richard Cassidy of Kattan Ferretti Insurance, Ryan Naugle of TIAA-CREF, Robert Perretti, Dr. Nicholas Racculia of the McKenna School, David Riehl of Hefron-Tillotson and Dennis Terzich of BNY Mellon Wealth Management.
