Saint Vincent College Offices of Alumni Relations and Campus Life will welcome alumni, students and their families to campus for homecoming and fall family weekend Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 27, 28 and 29.
Seven graduates will be honored as alumni of distinction in recognition of their lifetime achievement and service to Saint Vincent at a reception and dinner at the Fred M. Rogers Center at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27. The honorees include Paul Duffer, C’68, Gerald J. Guz, C’63, Natalie F. (Legin) Metz, C’88, Rev. Justin L. Nolan, O.S.B., P’47, C’52, S’55; Colleen C. Ruefle, C’88; Matthew D. Schneider, C’83; and J. Gerald Slavonia, C’63.
Two graduates will be honored as Recent Alumnus/Alumna Achievement Awards, Daniel W. Kunz, C’99, and Andrea (Ferraco) Redinger, C’01.
Saturday’s activities include an alumni anniversary breakfast for those celebrating 25 and 50 or more years since graduation, men’s alumni lacrosse game, men’s and women’s alumni swimming, women’s tennis, a homecoming parade, community picnic, open swim, Bearcat football vs. Westminster College, halftime crowning of homecoming court, an alumni social and an alumni memorial Mass. The Fall Fest Carnival will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on the softball field. Each of the four schools will have receptions in the morning. A shuttle bus will be running all day with admission ambassadors giving tours of campus.
Sunday’s activities include morning prayer with the Benedictines.
