'Computer Security Issues' Seminar to be Held Nov. 14

Saint Vincent College Small Business Development Center will host a seminar, Computer Security Issues, on Thursday, Nov. 14,  from 9 a.m. to noon.

Participants will learn to protect their computer, information and identity. This seminar will inform attendees on the newest threats to computer security and discuss the latest information on firewalls, antispyware, anti-spam and other programs that can be used to keep information safe.

The fee to attend is $40. Coffee/tea set up and light refreshments are included as well as an optional one-year subscription (12 issues) to Inc. magazine, valued at $10.

Joe Polk, technology specialist consultant, will present this seminar. Polk was previously senior technical specialist with PennTAP, web technology specialist with Marconi PLC and web developer with Management Science Associates in Pittsburgh.

Saint Vincent College Small Business Development Center is part of a statewide system of university-based economic development organizations, whose mission is to provide high quality education and consulting to entrepreneurs, to help them start and grow their businesses in the competitive global economy.
