Saint Vincent College Jazz Band, directed by Scott DiTullio, lecturer in music in the Saint Vincent College School of Humanities and Fine Arts, will give a concert at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9 in the Robert S. Carey Student Center Lounge. Admission is free and open to the public.
The concert will include My Favorite Things, Hang on Sloopy, Yesterday, Dancing Men and other favorites.
Members of the ensemble include Mike Krach and Jake Fox, a senior biochemistry major from Ligonier, alto sax; Nathaniel Porter, a sophomore biochemistry major from New Alexandria, Calie Weimer, a freshman early childhood education major from Saltsburg, and Alexis Oropallo, a sophomore biochemistry major from Friedens, tenor sax; Nicole Dunst, a sophomore physical therapy major from Reynoldsburg, Ohio, baritone sax; Patrick Diamond, a junior physician assistant major from Hickory, Cathern Treece, a senior English major from Clarksburg, Randy Kratofil and Anna Wingard, a sophomore mathematics/engineering major from St. Marys, trumpet; Joseph Carroll, a senior English major from Somerset, Mark Harris, a junior music major from Belle Vernon, and Noah Hemminger, a junior mathematics/engineering major from Somerset, trombone; Jonathon Jacobeen, a senior philosophy major from Manassas, Va., piano; Casey Ciocco, a senior criminology, law and society major from Latrobe, percussion; and Sky Semone, a freshman chemistry major from Indiana, string bass.
Krach and Kratofil are local musicians who are not students at Saint Vincent.
