Dr. Kiron Skinner Keynote Speaker for Observance

Dr. Kiron Skinner, second from right, director of the Center for International Relations and Politics at Carnegie Mellon University and a member of the Saint Vincent College Board of Directors, was the keynote speaker at the Saint Vincent College Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration on Jan. 20 at the Fred M. Rogers Center. She was welcomed by Br. Norman W. Hipps, O.S.B., left, president, and Archabbot Douglas R. Nowicki, O.S.B., right. Also participating in the program was Janard Pendleton, C’2001, a doctoral student at Pitt who also is a member of the adjunct faculty there. Nearly 200 students, faculty and staff attended the annual event in honor of the late civil rights leader.
