Officials of Baierl Subaru and Subaru of America recently presented a check for $6,603 to the Fred Rogers Center for Early Learning and Children’s Media at Saint Vincent College which represents the proceeds of a “Share the Love” event at the Carnegie Science Center on Dec. 7 and a special sales promotion between Nov. 21 and Jan. 2. Anyone purchasing a new Subaru at Baierl during that period had an opportunity to donate $250 to support the work of the Center to help sustain signature programs and resources in service to young children and the adults who care for them. From left are David Marrangoni, Baierl vice president of marketing; Karen Struble Myers, director of development for the Fred Rogers Center; Terry Kuhnhein, district sales manager for Subaru of America; Richard Fernandes, executive director of the Fred Rogers Center; and William Baierl, senior executive at Baierl. The mission of the Fred Rogers Center for Early Learning and Children’s Media at Saint Vincent College is to advance the fields of early learning and children’s media by acting as a catalyst for communication, collaboration and creative change. The Center houses the Fred Rogers Archive including materials from Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood. The national signature programs of the Center are the Early Career Fellows program, the Fred Rogers Center Early Learning Environment™ (Ele), and the Fred Forward Conference Series.
