College Singers Plan Concert April 1

Saint Vincent College Singers will perform a concert entitled, “Music from Around The World” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 1 in the Sis and Herman Dupré Science Pavilion atrium. Admission is free and open to the public.

The concert features music in many languages and styles.

Thomas Octave, assistant professor of music, will conduct the ensemble in “Sing a Mighty Song” by Daniel Gawthrop, “Drait-on” by Morten Lauridsen, “Fa Una Canzone” by Vecchi and “Steal Away,” an American spiritual, along with many other selections.

The Saint Vincent College Singers is comprised of students from many majors and schools in the college including music majors.

Graybill, a sophomore music performance major from Pittsburgh (15215); Vanessa Gruss, a freshman biology major from Derry; Shelby Hebenthal, a junior biology major from Latrobe; Margaret Jumonville; Jillian Kegg, a sophomore education major from Johnstown; Breana J. Liberoni, a freshman accounting major from New Alexandria; Elizabeth J. Loftus, a freshman computing and information science major from Harrisburg; Jacob Lynch, a freshman criminology, law and society major from Fresh Meadows, N.Y.; Megan Q. Monack, a senior communication major from Latrobe; Kathryn E. Ordiway, a sophomore English major from Saint Marys; Jonathan D. Pauley, a junior history major from Bethel Park; ; Alyson Rusak, a freshman biology major from Sarver; Megan Samoriski, a junior chemistry major from Victor, N.Y.; Mandy Slowey, a senior music major from Bethel Park; Abigail Sugrue, a sophomore music major from Export; Michael Villavicencio, a senior music major from Jersey City, N.J.; Patrick Wilkinson, a senior biology major from Apollo; and Hannah Wojtowicz, a sophomore music performance major from Pittsburgh (15227).
