Environmental Awareness Club Sponsoring Recycle Sculpture Contest at Earth Day Event April 27

Saint Vincent College Environmental Awareness Club is sponsoring a recycle sculpture contest during the Westmoreland Earth Day event at Saint Vincent College on Sunday, April 27.

Teams may consist of one to ten persons and prizes will include a chipotle party at the Winnie Palmer Nature Reserve, ten Pirate bleacher seat tickets, a $100 Barnes and Noble shopping spree and an environmental living gift basket.

Sculpture materials must be all recycled materials including cardboard, paper, plastic bottles or cans. Assembly must have no seen binding agents (glue, tape, etc.) and additional points will be awarded for biodegradable connecting agents. Sculpture dimensions are to be no larger than ten feet tall and eight feet wide. Extra points will be awarded for designs that are usable or functional. The design must address the Westmoreland Earth Day theme of “color your world green.”
