Olivia Clement, a senior communication major and marketing minor at Saint Vincent College, is interning this summer at Pittsburgh’s A to Z Communications in the practice area of marketing research.
“A to Z is an agency where I can significantly expand on my education with real world experience,” she commented. Her internship is paid, offers flexible working hours and will earn college credit.
She previously completed internships with Pennsylvania State University and the Pittsburgh Steelers. She also currently holds an internship as Style Guru for CollegeFashionista, a fashion site for the latest styles and trends across college campuses.
Clement is active at Saint Vincent as an event coordinator for MAD COMM, the media, advertising and communication club; Active Minds, a student-run group for suicide awareness; a member of Women in Business; member of the Activities Programming Board; and a member of Lambda Pi Eta, the communication honor society.
A volunteer note taker, she was recognized with a Saint Vincent College Community Service Award.
She formerly was a senator and Facility Management committee chair in the Student Government Association, served as a work/study assistant in the Communication Department, and participated in Sports Friendship Day.
The recipient of Saint Vincent College Leadership and Alumni Scholarships, she was also awarded several scholarships in high school including the Mary Petruzzi Lionetti Memorial Scholarship for Catholic Leadership, Rotary Youth Leadership Award and the Shane Edward Horner Memorial Scholarship.
After she receives her bachelor of arts degree in the spring of 2015, she plans to work in the communications field in the Pittsburgh area.
A graduate of DuBois Area Catholic School, Clement is a member of St. Michael the Archangel Parish in DuBois. She is the daughter of Dr. Paul and Kathleen Clement of DuBois.
