Concert Series Will Offer World-Class Performances During 43rd Season

Saint Vincent College Concert Series will present eight musical performances featuring internationally acclaimed musicians during its 43rd season in 2014-2015.

“Our performers for the 2014-2015 Series perform all across the globe and are among the best musicians in the chamber music genre. Featured instruments this year will be the piano and string instruments, and we are excited to present the concert premiere of the new John-Paul Buzard 51-stop and 72-rank pipe organ in the Saint Vincent Archabbey Basilica,” commented Br. Nathan Cochran, artistic director.

The schedule for the 2014-2015 Series includes Chinese pianist Yun-Chin Zhou, Saturday, Sept. 6; the Petar Jankovic Ensemble, a string quartet led by Petar Jankovic on guitar, Saturday, Oct. 4; the French guitar ensemble Duo Transatlantique, with Benjamin Beirs and Maud Laforest, Saturday, Nov. 1; the Daurov/Myer Duo, with Russian cellist Adrian Daurov and American pianist Spencer Myer, Saturday, Nov. 22; the diverse Carpe Diem String Quartet, Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015; multiple Billboard top-ten singer and pianist Tony DeSare, Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015; renowned organist Alan Morrison, Saturday, March 21, 2015; and critically-acclaimed pianist Soheil Nasseri, Saturday, April 18, 2015.

Concerts begin at 8 p.m., with most performances in the Robert S. Carey Student Center Performing Arts Center on the campus of Saint Vincent College except for Nov. 1 which is in the Basilica Crypt (lower church) and March 21 which is in the Basilica (upper church). Continuing this season is a free shuttle between the parking areas and the Carey Center.

Season tickets (premium seating at each of the eight concerts) are $150, and flex passes (eight admissions) are $160. Single tickets are $25, non-Saint Vincent student tickets are $15, and group rates are available for groups of ten or more. Children 12 and younger are admitted free with adult supervision/admission. Tickets go on sale July 1.

Saint Vincent Concert Series also offers a dinner-concert package, A Classic Evening at Saint Vincent, which combines a served dinner in the Metten Dining Room and admission to the concert for $50 per person ($25 for each season ticket or flex pass user).
