Pittsburgh Steelers to Open 49th Annual Training Camp at SVC with First Practice on July 26

The Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League will return to Unity Township for their 49th annual summer training camp at Saint Vincent College with players to report by 4 p.m. on Friday, July 25.

Afternoon practices will be open to the public at 3 p.m. on campus on 13 days including four weekend days. Tentative schedule includes Saturday, July 26, Sunday, July 27, Monday, July 28, Wednesday, July 30, Thursday, July 31, Saturday, Aug. 2, Sunday, Aug. 3, Wednesday, Aug. 6, Thursday, Aug. 7, Monday, Aug. 11, Tuesday, Aug. 12 and Wednesday, Aug. 13 (joint practice with Buffalo Bills).

An evening practice with the Buffalo Bills at Saint Vincent is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14.

An evening practice is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1 at Latrobe Memorial Stadium.

Other than Aug. 1, all practices are held on the grass playing fields at Saint Vincent. Visitors are welcome to bring chairs or blankets for viewing from any location outside the security fence. Seating is also available in Chuck Noll Field. Picnic baskets and coolers are welcome but barbeque grills, alcohol, video cameras, and dogs and other animals are not permitted on campus. The College will offer snacks, sandwiches and drinks at several locations around campus and the Bookstore located on the first floor of the Robert S. Carey Student Center will again offer a variety of Steelers logo merchandise.

There is no charge for parking or admission at Saint Vincent.
