More than 300 people attended a special event at the Fred M. Rogers Center at Saint Vincent College on October 15 at which Maestro Benjamin Zander, second from left, world-renowned conductor of the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra, teacher and lecturer, was the featured speaker and performer. Greeting him were, from left, Jim Towey, president of Saint Vincent College; Archabbot Douglas R. Nowicki, O.S.B.; Andrew Clark, representing the Clark family; and Maxwell King, co-director of the Rogers Center for Early Learning and Children’s Media. The program was presented by the Saint Vincent College Threshold Series, the Ann Kinzer Clark, M.D. Memorial Lecture Series, and the Latrobe Area Hospital Charitable Foundation.
