Saint Vincent College Students Plan Fall Break Service In Appalachia
 

Fifteen Saint Vincent College students will participate in a Campus Ministry-sponsored fall break service trip to Appalachia October 17 to 20.

The students will be working with Saint Thomas Parish in Gassaway, West Virginia, where they will be painting the floors and walls of the parish’s food pantry. They will also work with the church’s youth ministry group assisting some of the elderly parishioners with yard and house work, as well as replacing carpet on the church’s porch.

The student volunteers include Ross Agagliati, a sophomore biology major from Nanty Glo; James Burns, a junior chemistry major from Gaithersburg, Maryland; Maria Cahill, a sophomore theology major from Newark, Delaware; Mark D’Amico, a senior economics major from Mt. Pleasant; Nate Dippold, a senior mathematics major from Saint Marys; Jonathan Durkota, a senior computing and information science major from Ligonier; Carol Hung from Taiwan; Sheila O’Malley, a junior elementary instruction major from Silver Spring, Maryland; Julie Pomerleau, a sophomore psychology major from Jeannette; Ben Probst, a senior psychology major from Allison Park; Becca Raraigh, a sophomore studio arts major from Fombell; John Scialabba, a sophomore biology major from Butler; Renold Sossong, a sophomore business-finance major from Mineral Point; and Alison Wahl, a junior psychology major from Pittsburgh (15229); Donna Wang from Taiwan.
