Saint Vincent College Small Business Development Center will host a free seminar for business owners who are interested in learning about contracting opportunities with the federal, state and local governments. “Marketing to Government Agencies” will be held on Tuesday, November 17, from 9 a.m to 12 noon on the Saint Vincent College campus in Latrobe. Registration deadline is November 2. The U.S. Government is the largest buyer in the world, purchasing goods from corporate giants to small businesses. The SBA (Small Business Administration) helps to ensure that small businesses acquire a certain percentage of this market. Participants in this seminar will learn how to increase sales by marketing to the federal, state and local governments. Presenting agencies include GSA Office of Small Business Mid-Atlantic Region, Westmoreland County Industrial Development Corporation, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers-Pittsburgh District, Westmoreland Courthouse and PennDot District 12. This workshop is co-sponsored by the Private Industry Council and the Defense Procurement Assistance Center.
