Saint Vincent College Small Business Development Center will host a
forum on alternative financing on Friday, November 6 from 9 a.m. to 3
p.m. on campus. As traditional lending sources continue to tighten their
credit standards, entrepreneurs are finding it extremely difficult, if
not impossible, to secure much-needed capital. This forum brings
together lending professionals from numerous non-profit, private sector
and government agencies dedicated to making capital available to grow
business ventures. Experienced financing representatives will provide
an overview of each organization’s financing programs and lending
preferences. They will also be available to meet individually after
lunch. As our economy recovers, small business is likely to lead the
way out of recession. This will require capital. The SBDC strongly
encourages any small business seeking growth capital to attend.
Alternative Financing Forum is co-sponsored and subsidized by
the Westmoreland and Fayette-Washington Keystone Innovation Zones
(KIZ). Saint Vincent College Small Business Development Center is
part of a statewide system of university-based economic development
organizations, whose mission is to provide high quality education and
consulting to entrepreneurs to help them start and grow their
businesses in the competitive global economy. To register or to obtain
more information about this workshop or other SBDC services, contact
