SVC Plans Seminar on Computer Security Issues Oct. 14

Saint Vincent College Small Business Development Center will host a workshop on computer security issues on Wednesday, Oct. 14. The workshop will be held at Saint Vincent College from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m.

The seminar will demonstrate why there is more to security than an anti-virus program. Those who are concerned about computer security are invited to attend this seminar to learn about firewalls, anti-spyware, anti-spam and other programs to keep information safe.

Joe Polk, senior technical specialist with the Pennsylvania Technical Assistance Program (PennTAP), will present this program. Mr. Polk provides technology and technical assistance to organizations and businesses in southwestern Pennsylvania.

To register for the workshop, contact the Saint Vincent College Small Business Development Center at 724-537-4572 or sbdc@stvincent.edu. The fee for the seminar is $40 or $35 per person for two or more attendees.
