Saint Vincent College students and community will get a holistic health experience from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 2 in the Robert S. Carey Center Student Lounge at the Wellness Fair 2008. The fair offers students a chance to integrate their mind, body and spirit through more than two-dozen exhibitors that will provide interactive tips and information encouraging healthier existence. Exhibitors will offer a variety of proactive health choices, as well as opportunities to ask questions. Students can get a body fat analysis, have a spinal screening, get a paraffin hand dip, learn self defense tips, ask a medical doctor questions, enjoy healthy snacks, get a massage, learn about the effects of smoking on your body and more. There will also be exercise equipment demonstrations provided by the Saint Vincent College Athletic Department. Some exhibitors include: Chiropractic Health Center, Dental Care Associates, Life-Way Pregnancy Resource Center, Pennsylvania Department of Health, Mind ’N Body Martial Arts, Parkhurst Dining Services and more. “We’ve asked every exhibitor to be interactive with many raffles and giveaways taking place during the fair,” said Mary Alice Armour, Director of the Wellness Center. The fair has taken place every other spring since 1994 and Mrs. Armour noted that each time the Wellness Team strives to make it better and more informational than the last one. “There is definitely something for everyone,” she concluded.
