Fr. Mark Gruber presents lecture at John Paul II Cultural Institute

Fr. Mark Gruber, O.S.B., presented a lecture at the John Paul II Cultural Institute in Washington, D.C. on Oct. 22. He was invited to speak on the “Anthropology in Old Testament Spirituality” at the occasion of an art exhibit sponsored by Jewish and Christian artists who focused on biblical iconographic themes.

Library hours announced for Thanksgiving break
|
The Saint Vincent Library will be open Tuesday and Wednesday, Nov. 22 and 23 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Nov. 24, 25 and 26, the Library will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday. Sunday, Nov. 27, the Library will reopen at 6 p.m. and be open until 10:45 p.m. Regular hours resume on Monday, Nov. 28.

Students invited to learn about study opportunities in Mexico
|
Students are invited to attend a presentation about studying Spanish in Mexico this summer. Students have the opportunity to earn 6-9 credits. Information about this program will be presented on Monday, Nov. 14 at 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. in the Westmoreland Room of Placid Hall.

Federal Jobs Workshop to be held Nov. 29

The Career Services office will be hosting a workshop on finding and applying for federal jobs from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 29, in Alfred 35. The workshop will include information on how to identify positions, expedite the application process and benefit from tips on “What Federal Employers Look for and “How to Maximize Your Hiring Potential.”
