Why do we call?
The Phonathon enables SVC to keep in touch with alumni, parents, and friends.  We inform them of the latest news while raising support for the College at all levels.

Who makes the calls?
The Phonathon employs over 40 SVC student callers throughout the year.  By working at the Phonathon students earn money for college, gain resume quality experience, compete for the annual Paul A. Murray Telethon Scholarship and connect with the SVC community.

What is Annual Giving?
The Annual Giving Office/Phonathon helps raise immediate funds for Saint Vincent's operating needs.  Dollars raised through Annual Giving are used to provide support to all areas of the College.  Such as, scholarships and grants for students; enhancing and updating library facilities; and purchasing computer and classroom equipment to keep pace with new technology.

What are the requirements to be a Phonathon caller?
Each student caller is required to work a minimum of two calling shifts per week.  The starting wage is $7.15 an hour with performance based raises.
