The FOUNDATIONS TOUGH TOPIC SERIES, is a comprehensive preschool ATOD prevention curriculum designed to meet the needs of children in high risk situations. Seven life skills units (Conflict Resolution, Domestic Violence, Grief and Loss, Family Substance Abuse, Sexual Abuse, Personal Responsibility, and Family Diversity) cover 80 lessons/hands-on activities and use literature to help children learn to cope with special "tough" situations in their lives.
The Foundations Curriculum and the Foundations Tough Topic Series encourage parents and teachers joining together in cooperative and collaborative ways to help build and strengthen resiliency and protective factors in young children. Through this connection it is hoped that young children will observe adult role models who respect life and have a better chance of growing up "drug free".
