How can I get a verification of enrollment?

You or your parent/guardian can call the office and request a letter be sent or faxed to verify that you are a student at Saint Vincent College.

How do I send an Official Transcript?

We need your request in writing. You may either stop by the Registrar's Office and complete the "Request for Transcript" form or submit a letter requesting that we send an official transcript. Be sure to include your social security number, the address and contact person to whom it is to be sent, the $5.00 fee per transcript and your signature authorizing release of this information.

Will my grades be sent out at the end of the semester?

No, students can access their grades via the "Web Info System" at the end of each semester.

How will I register for future semesters?

While your first semester schedule was prepared for you, you will be responsible to register for your classes via the "Web Info System" for future semesters.

How do I get approval for registration?

You will meet with your Faculty Advisor prior to your scheduled registration date each semester to obtain clearance. He/she will clear you via the web to allow you to register at your appointed day and time.

How do I get into a closed class?

You must contact the Department Chair for permission to be admitted to a closed class. If the chair approves and a seat is available, he/she will give you authorization via the web to register for the class. Please note that YOU are responsible to register for the class either on the web or by processing a signed add/drop form in the Registrar's Office. Chairpersons, Faculty Members, or Advisors do not have access to register you for any class(es) - YOU MUST REGISTER YOURSELF!

How do I add or drop a class?

You can add and drop a class via the "Web Info System" up until the deadlines set each semester. After the deadline you will need special permission, with the proper signatures on an Add/Drop form that you will bring to the Registrar's Office.

How do I declare a Major or Minor?

Completion of the proper forms and signatures are to be filed in the Office of the Registrar. Forms are available online and in the Registrar's Office.

How do I transfer summer credits in?

You must obtain prior approval to take a course away from Saint Vincent. A Transfer Course Approval form can be found online and in the Registrar's Office. You must complete this form with the proper signatures and return to the Registrar's Office, before registering for the class.

Who has access to my records?

As stated in the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), you have control over who can access your records. For this reason, every student is asked to complete a waiver form at the beginning of their first semester. This form authorizes us to release your information only to the parties you have noted on the form. Typically, students authorize release of this information to their parents/guardians, athletic coaches, and/or other third parties who may aid in the funding for the student's educational expenses.
