The fourth annual Growing America through Operational Excellence is the region’s premier lean event. It is where industry professionals come together to learn tried and true practices for a more efficient business. With four tracks to the day’s events, there truly is something for everyone. The Culture and Leadership Tracks will teach attendees about compensation and the workforce, selecting the right metrics, and PDCA in everything. Those traveling on the Tools and Techniques Tracks will learn about sustaining your 5S gains, visual management, and infrastructure planning. Attendees on the Highmark Healthcare Track will discuss operational excellence in the critical care environment, the Geisinger Medical Center Lean Academy overview, and operational excellence in healthcare – a participant demonstration. Finally, those on the Operational Excellence Journey Tracks will experience Overly Manufacturing – first year of the OE journey, the human and operations balance in lean manufacturing, and the Bombardier/Rotax story. All attendees will listen to keynote speakers, Carlos Cardoso – President and CEO of Kennametal, Inc., Bruce Hamilton – President of GBMP, and Valerie Ferris – Administrative Director of Virginia Mason Medical Center.
