Human Resources Management Seminar Series

The Human Resources Management Series is a series of three programs designed for those individuals who are involved with making human resources decisions. Those handling HR decisions as a secondary responsibility are especially urged to attend. Session I discusses what HR is and the areas of responsibility, employment practices such as applicable laws, the recruitment process, interviewing basics and information on compensation strategies.  Session II discusses performance documentation, progressive discipline, termination, and substance abuse in the workplace. Session III discusses liability and insurance topics such as employer liability, directors and officers liability, and product and liability insurance; workers’ compensation and benefits, incentives, and other employment laws.  The series concludes with an overview of what should be included in a policy and procedures manual.

Human Resources Management Series: Session I
Expand your human resources knowledge at our fifth annual Human Resources Management Series – a popular and informative series designed for anyone involved in making human resource decisions. Those directly handling HR issues are especially urged to attend. Session One will include informative topics such as employment practices, and in particular, applicable laws, the recruitment process, and interviewing basics. Attendees will also learn about identifying personalities through personality testing and performance documentation. The series is sponsored by the Westmoreland Chamber of Commerce and is co-sponsored by First Commonwealth Bank. Continuing professional education credits are available for this series.

Human Resources Management Series: Session II
Expand your human resources knowledge at our fifth annual Human Resources Management Series – a popular and informative series designed for anyone involved in making human resource decisions. Those directly handling HR issues are especially urged to attend. Session Two will include topics such as progressive discipline and termination, benefits, incentives, and other reemployment laws. Attendees will also learn about workers’ compensation, which has been brought back and updated for 2007, along with the policy and procedures manual that includes a Powerpoint presentation on what should and should not be included in the manual. The series is sponsored by the Westmoreland Chamber of Commerce and is co-sponsored by First Commonwealth Bank. Continuing professional education credits are available for this series.
