Fr. Rene has authored numerous publications dealing with modern English history and ecclesiastical history including: five books, a documentary film for Scan Films (Cardiff, Wales), and more than 150 articles, book chapters, and book reviews. Conference presentations: America, England, Wales. Co-recipient of 2001 Freedom Project Teaching Grant, funded by the John Templeton Foundation, for an interdisciplinary course, "Freedom, Politics, and Theology." Editorial board, The American Benedictine Review. Honorary Research Fellow, King's College, University of London, 1987-88. Visiting Scholar, Heythrop College, University of London, 1996-97. Fellow of the Royal Historical Society. Who's Who in America, 60th Edition. Memberships include: American Historical Association, Church History Society of America, Ecclesiastical History Society (Great Britain), and North American Conference on British Studies.
