Mandatory recycling program begins at Saint Vincent College

Mandatory recycling program begins at Saint Vincent College

There are now recycling bins all over campus.  Saint Vincent College recycles the following items: glass, plastic, aluminum and bi-metal cans, cardboard, paper (office, computer, colored, magazines, envelopes with or without windows, newspaper with or without staples.  Please do not recycle glossy paper) and computer printer ink cartridges.

Receptacles are marked and located in office spaces, at the end of hallways and/or corridors around campus and residence halls.

  • BLUE bins are for PAPER
  • GREEN bins are for GLASS, PLASTIC and ALUMINUM
  • Ink Cartridge Mailers located at Post Office and outside the Environmental Education Center Office – Chemistry Building Room 102
THINGS TO REMEMBER

  • Please WASH all bottles and cans before placing them in receptacles when possible.  This limits insects and smells from the bins until they are picked-up and moved to a central location.
  • Please USE DESIGNATED RECYCLING BINS ONLY.  RECYCLING BINS are for recyclable items ONLY.  Please do not place trash in these containers!  Please take the time to recycle.
