Lara Kelly had the following to say about her summer excursion to Mexico, which was made possible by receipt of a student Andreoli travel grant. “This summer I traveled to Cuernevaca, Mexico in order to study the Spanish language for four weeks. While there, I lived with a host family and took classes five days a week beginning at eight in the morning and ending around two in the afternoon. The classes consisted of three grammar sessions, one conversational session, and either one situational session or a workshop. Every weekend, the school planned excursions for the students. We visited places such as Mexico City, Taxco and Teotihuacan. From the trip I not only learned more of the Spanish language, but also about the culture and customs of the Mexican people.”
