Activities Report-  Finau announced Fall Fest will be held October 1st , with sign-ups taking place at the meeting on September 25th.  October 20th is Midnight Madness with a possible Senior Party preceding.  The SGA vs. Faculty/Administration basketball game will also take place that night.  Unfortunately the concert this year will take place in the spring because the gym was only available one day and band schedules didn’t coincide. 
 
President’s Report- Walz welcomed back the senate members.  Informed that this week the Issue boxes will be placed in all the dorms.  Hall Reps will have the key.  Hopes are of better being in touch with the students.  Hall Reps this year will have a different role, being responsible for holding monthly town hall meetings.
 
This past Friday was the Board of Directors meeting and resident hall expansion was greatly discussed.  A 4-story addition will be made to St. Benedict, and an addition to Rooney will be apartment style.  A total of 180 bed spaces will result.  The Ground Breaking Ceremony will be this Thursday at 1:00 PM.  All senate members are expected to attend.  Door prizes will be given out.  This is only Phase 1 of expansion.  In two years, Phase 2 will be looked into. 
 
Issues from the Floor- Recycling bins need to be placed in the Fitness Center, for high numbers of water bottles are thrown in the garbage.  Parking policies on the weekends need to be reviewed because problems ensued this weekend with students not being allowed to park on campus other than Lots A & Q, contrary to previous years.  The cafeteria still needs to consider expanding because the temporary wall doesn’t solve the congestion. 
 
Elections will be held this Tuesday.
