Rachel returns for her third season with the Lady Bearcats, and the catcher has proven to be one of the top hitters in the Presidents' Athletic Conference.
Last season, she started 23 games behind the plate, sharing the team lead with a .337 average (28-83) enroute to being awarded with PAC Coaches' Honors. She also led the Lady Bearcats in runs scored (20) and home runs (2) while committing just three errors in 175 chances in the field. As a freshman, she started 34 games, and picked up 17 hits, including a homer and five doubles, while scoring 10 runs and driving in seven. Rachel was an All-Section selection at Hempfield High School, playing four seasons under coach Bob Kalp and earning three letters. Born 9-5-86, Rachel is the daughter of Matt and Tina Komarinski. She is majoring in Biology and plans to enter medical school after graduating from Saint Vincent.
