Shannon returns for her third season, and has started all 63 games over her first two seasons.  Last year, she recorded 14 hits, including a homer, a triple and two doubles, while driving in seven runs.  As a freshman, she was second on the team in both hits (26) and RBI (13), hitting one homer and seven doubles.

At Brandywine HS, she played four years of softball and basketball, and was twice named All-Division on the diamond, while being named Most Improved in 2003. 

Born 9-27-86, she is the daughter of Scott and Marie Ballantyne, and is double-majoring in Accounting and Business Management.
