Rachel enters her senior season with Saint Vincent softball. She started 36 games in 2008 and led the team in home runs, with three, and hits, with 36. She finished with a .316 batting average and 21 RBI. Behind the plate, she threw out four potential base stealers.

She was the recipient of PAC Coaches' Awards in each of the past two seasons.

She played softball for four years at Hempfield Area Senior HS under current Saint Vincent coach Nicole Hinerman.

A Biology major, she is the daughter of Tina and Matt Komarinski and was born 9-5-86.
