The Lady Bearcats swept Hanover in a doubleheader, winning game one by a score of 5-1, then coming back from a 5-0 deficit to win the second game, 6-5. In game one, SVC trailed 1-0 until the 5th inning. April Hawkey started the rally with a one-out single. Next Kerstin Makowski followed with a single, putting runners on first and second. Mollie Stock hit into a fielders choice, but reached on an error, loading the bases for Rachel Komarinski, who delivered a clutch RBI single. Jostalyn Klosky then stepped to the plate and did the same, as did Ashley Whipkey, who drove in a pair of runs to make it 4-1. Jenna Bealko then hit a sharp grounder back to the mound, but a throwing error led to SVC's fifth run of the inning, and it was all that pitcher Stock, who went the distance, would need. In game two, SVC fell behind by a score of 5-0 entering the final inning. Komarinski led off the 7th with a single, then Brittany Caracci singled, moving Komarinski to second. The runners moved up on a wild pitch, then Whipkey drew a walk on four pitches. The last ball, however, was another wild pitch, allowing Komarinski to score, making it 5-1. Shannon Ballantyne drew another 4-pitch walk, to load the bases for Bealko, who singled home Caracci to make it 5-2. Leanna Seminsky promptly smacked a 2-run single that made it 5-4. Hawkey walked to reload the bases for Makowski, who singled up the middle to tie the game at 5-5. Stock's sacrifice fly brought home Seminsky, completing the comeback and giving SVC the 6-5 lead. Whipkey finished up the complete game and earned her second win of the season, as SVC improved to 3-1 on the year.
