The Lady Bearcats were swept in a home doubleheader by Presidents' Athletic Conference leader Thomas More, 10-1 and 10-0.

In the opener, the Saints took advantage of three SVC errors in the top of the first to take a 3-0 lead.  The visitors then added one run in the second, two in the third, and four more in the fifth.

The Lady Bearcats scored their lone run in the bottom of the second.  Mollie Stock led off the frame with a single, advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt from Jostalyn Klosky, and scored on an RBI single from Shannon Ballantyne.

SVC managed just four hits on the afternoon, led by two from Ballantyne.  Angela Sleith went the distance in the circle for the Lady Bearcats, allowing nine hits and striking out two.

In the nightcap, Thomas More got off to a fast start, taking a 6-0 lead after just two innings.  The Saints then closed out the scoring with four runs in the fourth.

Thomas More pitcher Dana Bors limited SVC to just two singles - one from Stock and one from Rachel Komarinski - while striking out 13 Lady Bearcat batters.

With the two defeats, the Lady Bearcats' record stands at 9-15.  SVC now has a six-day layoff before returning to action on April 15th, when it hosts Westminser College in a 3pm doubleheader.
