Junior pitcher Mollie Stock threw her third consecutive no-hitter, and the Lady Bearcats took game one from visiting Thiel College The final scores were 3-0 and 13-2. Stock struck out eight en route to her third straight no-hitter, following a March 15 game against Penn State-Fayette and a March 27 game at Penn State-Greater Allegheny. Shannon Ballantyne led off the SVC third inning with a double and later scored on Rachel Komarinski's single to put the hosts up 1-0. The Lady Bearcats added two insurance runs in the fifth. April Hawkey was 2-for-4 in game one, with a double. Ballantyne was 2-3 and Ashley Whipkey was 1-3. In the second game, Thiel jumped to a 2-0 advantage, but SVC rallied for four runs in the top of the fourth inning. In the seventh, SVC added plenty of insurance, with a grand slam from Leanna Seminsky and a 2-run home run by Komarinski. Whipkey picked up the win, giving up just 2 hits and striking out 8. She also went 3-4 at the plate with a double and a triple. Komarinski also added a double. SVC is now 9-3 on the season and will host Juniata on Monday afternoon at 3:00.
