Visiting Washington & Jefferson College swept a pair of games over Saint Vincent. Final scores were 7-2 and 13-1. W&J's Hannah Schulz overpowered SVC, hitting three home runs and driving in five runs in the opening game, as Michelle Greenawalt went the distance and took the loss. SVC had only two hits off W&J starter Rebecca Nachreiner, a double by Mollie Stock, singles by Maura Wahl and Kerstin Makowski. SVC was kept off the scoreboard until the bottom of the 7th inning. In game two, SVC loaded the bases in the first but was not able to score, and the Presidents pulled away thanks to an 8-run third inning. Schulz was 2-for-2 with a pair of doubles and a walk. Her three RBI in game two gave her 8 RBI for the twinbill. The Lady Bearcats made three key errors, leading to eleven unearned runs off losing pitcher Mollie Stock. Shannon Ballantyne singled home the lone SVC run in the fourth inning. Other hits were recorded by Leanna Seminsky, Stock, and April Hawkey. SVC is now 14-6 on the year, and will host Bethany College on Tuesday at 3PM.
