Welcome Weekend
Your first weekend on campus is packed with events and meetings to help you transition to Saint Vincent easily. Beginning on Friday, the Orientation Committee moves all of your belongs in as part of Move-In Day. We start with the very first car that pulls behind Saint Benedict and don't stop until every student is completely moved in. This is your first chance to meet with your prefect and the entire Orientation Committee. Following these meetings, we have a freshman social that included fantastic food and a bonfire outside last year.
The fun continues throughout the weekend with a Service Trip. This allows you to get to know your classmates while helping the local community. Everybody had a blast last year and this year will be even better because you'll be there! After a few hours of work, we give you the opportunity to cool off with our annual Wet n' Wild event. The Saint Vincent Fire Department brings their engine full of water and we make obstacle courses and challenges each with water to cool you off. This event is held on the fields behind Saint Benedict and is a great time and an even better way to cool down and have fun at the same time.
We have to pack some meetings into the weekend and there are several in the auditorium to let you know the policies and procedures important to your success. Put we pick right back up with the Graffiti Dance - remember your t-shirt and we'll provide the marker. During the dance, you are encouraged to meet even more people by signing your name on their shirt. By the end of the night, you've had a great time dancing the night away and know so many people that the next week will be a breeze.
