Reading is FUNdamental:
	The purpose of RIF, Inc. and the KDP Reading is Fun Week program is to encourage children to read well and read often. April 11, 2006 K-2 grade students will be guided in reading selected Dr. Seuss books. A variety of activities will accompany each reading.

Celebration of Teaching:
	The purpose of the Celebration of Teaching program is to give middle and high school students who are interested in education as a career the opportunity to see into the world of teaching. April 29, 2006 Local junior and senior high school students will participate in an Education Get Acquainted Night with KDP members.

Honor an Educator:
	Mr. Smith has been selected as the 2005-2006 Outstanding Educator. Mr. Smith will be the keynote speaker at the KDP Initiation Ceremony in September 2006. Congratulations to all those who were nominated.

Others:
Spring Fest	April 22, 2006 12-4 pm St. Vincent College Enjoy free activities and entertainment sponsored by SVC Clubs. Don't forget to stop by the KDP booth to get Mardis Gras beads and make keychains.
