MSC For WEB

The mission of the Minority Student Coalition is to expose the Saint Vincent and immediate communities to the uniqueness of other cultures through a number of different vehicles to enhance and enforce a newfound diversity initiative. With this intent, we hope to foster healthy multi-cultural relationships that ensure academic and lifelong success.

    2) The play entitled Portraits of Courage will be coming to Saint Vincent on Feb. 11, 2008. Portraits of Courage is an examination of overlooked African-Americans and their contributions to American history. Surprised at the absence of African-American figures in today’s history books, playwright Colin Cox created a theatrical piece to help bring recognition to a few of those who have helped shaped our country. One woman and one man portray the characters in this 65 minute live presentation. So PLEASE do not miss this performance and bring friends. This will be held in the Carey Center Auditorium.

    3) Abolish the N word Campaign. In today's society we are face with the ignorance of people using the N word not only in music and movies but also in everyday life. With this stated in honor of black history month members of MSC have decided to campaign against the word and spread knowledge of the hurt and frustration behind the word.
