Getting Started

Welcome and congratulations on taking the first steps to studying abroad. The study abroad director is here to help you match academic and personal interests to an international experience. Study abroad programs can help you meet major or minor requirements, fulfill core requirements, or achieve proficiency in a second language. A work, internship, or volunteer experience abroad can help you to develop new skills in a work or community environment.

The possibilities are endless! Imagine yourself living with a host family and learning a new language in Argentina, working with children in India, or taking classes alongside European students in France, Italy, or Germany.

How can you find a program? To begin your search, Bessy Bennellick, Office of Study Abroad, will help you identify a program, provide assistance with comparing programs, help you learn about programs you may have overlooked, describe application and billing procedures, and answer any questions you have as your journey begins.

Please be sure to work with the Director of Study Abroad – she is here to help you!!
