Br. Patrick Lacey, O.S.B. (SVFD Founder)

Br. Patrick Lacey, O.S.B. founded Saint Vincent Fire Department in 1963.  With great devotion to the Blessed Mother and obedience to the Archabbot, Br. Pat accepted the challenge to start a fire department tasked with protecting life and property of the Saint Vincent community.  Br. Pat attended the State Fire Academy in Lewistown to gain the knowledge and leadership necessary to start a fire department.

Br. Pat was the first Fire Chief of the department and developed it to be a well trained and efficient department.  Br. Pat stepped down as Fire Chief in 2000.  His tenture as Fire Chief has positioned the department to continue on with this top level service and fire protection.  Br. Pat remains active with the department, always inquiring about membership and ensuring it remains strong.

Br. Pat also serves as the Chaplain of the Westmoreland County Fireman's Association.  He is very well respected through the community for his contributions to the Saint Vincent community and Westmoreland County as a whole.  Saint Vincent Fire Department is very grateful for all of his contributions.
